About the Training

Lauren, Melissa, and Sunny invite you to embark on a transformative learning journey with Three Cups, where ancient alchemy merges with cutting-edge techniques. Our training offers specific therapeutic techniques for psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, innovative approaches to psychedelic therapy, merging various therapeutic modalities with psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and insights from experienced clinicians.

Led by an all-female team, our stellar presenters and faculty bring a wealth of diverse experiences and modalities to the table. Participants have the opportunity for experiential learning with IM ketamine, fostering a collaborative and non-hierarchical environment.

This is an Advanced Training in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. Students must be licensed mental health care clinicians or physicians and have attended a level one experiential training in ketamine and/or psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Join the Three Cups Advanced Psychedelic Therapy Training!

  • Melissa Whippo, LCSW, is a psychedelic psychotherapist and founder of Deva Collective. She is also a writer and researcher. She combines her expertise in Women's health, Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, and Sacred Plant Wisdom to provide healing pathways for her patients.

    Melissa has taught at the UCSF School of Medicine, co-founded the Afterglow Postpartum Support Group at UCSF and started a Pre-Natal Yoga program during her 10 years of service in Women’s Health at UCSF. Melissa has been a lead trainer for psychedelic assisted psychotherapy programs at KTC and Inbodied Life, as well as taught modules on KAP and Women’s Health for Journey Clinical. She deepens her western practice by weaving non-psychoactive plant work into KAP as it provides allyship and support with both preparation and integration. She is trained in sacred herbalism through the Shipibo Conibo lineage, which provides a cosmology of healing that is matrilineal and guided by the divine feminine. Melissa is a sought after specialist in Women’s Health, mothers and adolescents.

    She is the founder of Deva Collective, a MAPS fiscally sponsored non-profit that is pioneering psychedelic research for Women’s Health. Her work has been published in the Washington Post, Glamour Magazine, The Journal of Psychoactive Studies and Frontiers in Psychiatry. She has also been featured in local media such as KPFA in the Bay Area.

  • Sunny Strasburg, LMFT is a psychedelic entrepreneur, trainer, consultant, author, and licensed psychotherapist. Mrs. Strasburg is trained in Internal Family Systems and archetypal psychology and is certified in EMDR. She is a California Institute of Integral Studies graduate in Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research. She is certified in Ketamine, MDMA, and Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapies.

    Sunny is a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy instructor and has trained hundreds of clinicians. Mrs. Strasburg instructs trainings and hosts retreats with Dr. Richard Schwartz, who developed Internal Family Systems. As a KAP and IFS trainer, she has cultivated a unique principles and methodologies to support therapeutic practices and psychedelics.

    Mrs. Strasburg’s new book, The Theradelic Approach: Psychedelic Therapy. Perspective, Preparation, and Practice distills her comprehensive experience as an educator, entrepreneur, and psychotherapist.

    Sunny has presented at conferences such as Psychedelic Science 2023, SXSW 2023, and 2023 Expanded States of Consciousness Worldwide Summit, The 2021 EMDRIA Worldwide Virtual Conference, Journey Clinical, Inbodied training, EMDRIA UK, and the Boston Trauma Conference.

  • Lauren Taus is the founder of Inbodied Life, a psychedelics education and training platform that provides evidence-based guidance to practitioners and patients alike. Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude from Barnard College at Columbia University with a BA in Religion before completing her Masters in Social Work at NYU. Licensed as a clinical therapist in both New York and California, she is also trained by MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies), the Ketamine Training Center and in the shamanic realms.

    Lauren’s therapeutic approach is focused on understanding psychogenic ecologies of healing that support collective liberation. Lauren understands symptoms as often cultural and epigenetic patterns that, when worked with well, can both change and return a person back to their native wholeness. Lauren is committed to working within the systems that hold individuals in order to support symmetrical growth in families and communities. Lauren has a deep understanding that life is INbodied, not a cognitive exercise, which she has carried into her decades of experience as a provider and made into a cornerstone of the group psychotherapy practice she leads in Los Angeles.
